Box Office Report: Saiyaara has a flying start at the theatres

Saiyaara, featuring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has surprisingly exceeded all predictions, and as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk, it earned Rs 20 crore on its opening day in cinemas. Saiyaara now holds the position of the fourth-highest opener of the year, following Chhaava (Rs 31 cr), Sikandar (Rs 26 cr), and Housefull 5 (Rs 24 cr).

On its opening day, the film screened over 7,000 shows. Throughout the day, the film maintained strong occupancy rates, averaging 49.9 percent. In 2025, established actors such as Ajay Devgn and Aamir Khan achieved success with films like Raid 2 and Sitaare Zameen Par, yet even their openings were not as strong. Raid 2 earned Rs 19.25 crore on its opening day, while Sitaare Zameen Par earned Rs 10.7 crore. Sky Force, featuring Akshay Kumar and the newcomer Veer Pahariya, had an opening day collection of Rs 12.25 crore. It seems that Mohit Suri may have a potential blockbuster on his hands.

The numbers certainly look good for Yash Raj Studios and director Mohit Suri, given the high expectations around the film, along with the careers of the two newcomers involved. The film has achieved a promising start at the box office, and the Saiyaara team will undoubtedly hope that this positive momentum maintains throughout the opening weekend.

With Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s on-screen chemistry and the film’s engaging plot, Saiyaara looks poised for a successful run, captivating audiences nationwide with its story and performances.
