Saiyaara box office prediction: Film records highest ticket sales since Chhaava

The advance booking of Mohit Suri’s ‘Saiyaara’ has set a record-breaking precedent with its ticket sales. The film, which released theatrically on July 18, features Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in the lead roles. The musical-romantic-drama has already sold approximately 195,000 tickets on its first day at the three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis), as reported by Sacnilk.

The report stated that the advance ticket sales of ‘Saiyaara’ are the second-highest in 2025 (Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chaava’ sold out 225,000 tickets). The Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) production has so far had nationwide sales of over 380,000 tickets approximately.

‘Saiyaara’ has marked one of the biggest pre-sales ever for an Indian movie featuring newcomers. The Sacnilk report also mentioned that the film secured a third position in terms of advance booking gross collection. While the YRF musical has earned Rs 9.40 crore, Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chaava’ (2025) and Salman Khan ‘Sikandar’ (2025) had collected Rs 13.80 crore and Rs 10.10 crore respectively.

The report further stated that prior to the advance bookings, ‘Saiyaara’ was projected to be within the range of Rs 5-6 crore. However, as the advance booking momentum, it quickly turned into a double-digit prediction for the Ahaan-Aneet starrer.

Considering the progress in advances, the estimated first day opening of ‘Saiyaara’ jumped from Rs 10-15 crore to Rs 20-25 crore, according to Sacnilk. The songs of the film and the trailer received a positive response from fans and Bollywood celebrities.
