Kiara Advani Is Super Stoked to Work With Hrithik Roshan in War 2
Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani set the internet abuzz as the shooting of War 2 wrapped up. Yesterday, Hrithik posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying filming had concluded after “149 days of relentless chase, action, dance, blood, sweat, injuries… and it was all WORTH IT!” He lauded director Ayan Mukerji, Jr NTR, and Kiara, adding, “I’m so excited for the world to witness the lethal side of you, you’ve been spectacular to share screen with.” The epic action thriller is slated for release on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, coinciding with India’s Independence Day weekend.
Kiara replied with heartfelt enthusiasm, she wrote, “The excitement is mutual, @iHrithik ! Sharing the screen with you has been an unforgettable experience. Can’t wait for the world to witness what Adi sir, Ayan @tarak9999 and our incredible team have brought to life #War2.” Her reply has fans eager for the action-packed drama, showing admiration and mutual respect among the cast.

War 2 is the sequel to the successful 2019 film War and is the sixth instalment in YRF Spy Universe. Hrithik returns as Major Kabir, who is to go rogue, facing off against a new agent, Vikram (played by Jr NTR), whose mission is to neutralize him. Kiara plays a pivotal role in this high-stakes espionage battleground. Filming spanned across Spain, Italy, Abu Dhabi, Kashmir, and Mumbai. The movie has a massive budget of around 200 to 400 crore Rupees, and it is set to be screened in IMAX worldwide.
War 2 will be released globally in theatres, including IMAX, on the 14th of August this year. IMDb ranks it as the second most eagerly awaited Indian film of the year, topping Hindi film charts. The teaser, released on May 20, showcased explosive visuals of Hrithik, Jr NTR, and Kiara, earning both praise and critique.
